RMQC is a container crane which is installed on the inner wall of the pier and used in loading and unloading containers on/off the ships. RTGC is a transfer crane which is installed in a container yard and used to take the transported containers into and out of the yard. It improves the efficiency of the container yard by being able to stack up to 5 containers in 6 rows. There are two types of transfer crane, which are RMGC (Rail Mounted Gantry Crane) and RTGC (Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane). The user can pick from the two types of the crance to best suit the condition and needs of the port operation system. Both types are widely used in the major ports throughout the country.

In short, RTGC is used for safe transportation and storage of containers in a open storage yard located behind wharf. Also, comparison between RMGC and RTGC shows that RTGC(RUBBER TIRE GANTRY CRANE) is more convenient than RMGC that handles containers while moving on a fixed path (rubber tire attached to) within transfer craneyard.
